Miss Representation

Hey everyone! It is a new semester and there are new and exciting things happening in WAC! Tonight CARE sponsored the showing of the documentary Miss Representation, a film that delves into how the media misrepresents women, undermines women in power and alters our entire world view. It was a remarkable experience. Words can't express the horror I felt at some of the scenes depicted in the film. This isn't even about feminism, this is about being a human being and realizing that there is something fundamentally wrong with the picture today's media paints. This film would make anyone think twice before stereotyping or underestimating women.
